Children and Young people can’t wait – improving well-being through cooperation

Welcome to Nordic Day, the pre-conference event run by the Nordic Centre for Welfare and Social Issues (NVC). This complimentary seminar is run in English and takes place at the conference hotel, The EPIC SANA Lisboa hotel, on Sunday 5 July 2015 from 1230-1700 hours. This year's theme is Children and Young people can’t wait – improving well-being through cooperation.

Nordic Day Young GroupIt is open to all registered delegates of the ESN conference so if you are interested in learning more about the Nordic welfare systems and in particular about this year’s important topic, then please ensure that you book your place HERE as soon as possible.

This year’s theme focuses on assisting vulnerable children and young people who risk developing mental illness and ending up in alienation. Helping them often requires action from several professions and authorities in different sectors of society. During Nordic day we highlight on work methods based on inter-agency partnership.

TESTIMONIALS

“I attended Nordic Day in Dublin and found the programme for the day very relevant to my areas of interest - I am an external social work practice supervisor in mental health.  The presentations were good and it was informative to get a view of the situation from the Nordic countries.  Networking & meeting delegates at the day was enjoyable and very useful.”
Terry Madden, Dublin, Ireland

“For me, the Nordic Day has been an important part of ESN conference. I am responsible for a wide range of welfare issues in a medium sized city and it is very valuable for me to get the opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues within both Europe and Scandinavia.”
Jukka Lindberg, City of Hämeenlinna, Finland

Join the debate and discuss how we can achieve better cooperation in order to improve our services for children and young people.
